|Meet at:||Layby near Cross Keys Inn (StreetView)|
A circular walk starting at the Cross Keys Inn. The route climbs up and over The Calf, taking in Cautley Spout on the way, then drops into Sedbergh via Winder Hill and returns along the eastern flank of The Howgills.
Walks may have to be called-off in the case of strong winds or torrential rain, but a little bit of rain is unlikely to cause a walk to be cancelled.
If the weather is bad on the morning of a walk, it's fine to change your mind and drop out, but remember to let me know so I can check numbers and re-arrange plans if necessary. If a walk does need to be cancelled (for whatever reason) I'll spread the word to other walkers, so make sure you've told me you're supposed to be coming.
Finally, always remember to bring plenty to drink, enough food for the duration of the walk and appropriate footwear and clothing for the weather on the day.
